Whistleblower gets $1.7 Million in Retaliatory Firing Case

A Philadelphia jury has awarded $1.7 million to a woman in a whistleblower case who contended she was fired from her job in retaliation for raising concerns about her boss. The plaintiff worked for the Kintock Group, a corporation that provides transition services to ex-convicts who have recently been released from prison. She alleged she was fired after raising concerns about drug use and other policy violations by her boss.

The sales rep who filed the claim against CDW-Government LLC, alleging trade violations, will receive $1.3 million as part of the settlement.
